The shared kitchen was lovely and had a communal fridge. My private room was clean, though it was hard to air out and got quite warm overnight. The location is spot on. I'd recommend staying here, but traveling alone might feel dull since it's harder to meet other people.

Friendly staff and an okay price. The place seems to still be a work in progress, and it's tricky to find, tucked away in an alley. The bathroom is shared.

Getting inside was the main problem. When I arrived at 7:30 PM, there was no entry information, code, key box, or staff, despite the confirmed reservation page referring to check-in details and a note saying staff would be there until 22.30. Another guest let me in from outside. My calls and messages went unanswered, and I was left considering paying for another room while waiting who knows how long for a refund. I had booked the day before for a simple overnight stop, expecting to arrive by 7 PM, eat, look around briefly, and get some rest before leaving at 6 AM. Instead, I was tired and sweaty, and didn't find somewhere else to stay until 1 AM. ebookers.fi customer support did step in quickly and refunded me, but hours had already been lost. While I was waiting outside, someone else asked me for the Wi-Fi password, so even getting in might not have helped me find basic information. Guests need clear access instructions, Wi-Fi details, and an emergency contact. None were provided, and the experience left me with no trust in the property. ebookers helped limit the damage, but this was unacceptable for a paying guest. 1/5.

The windows face the courtyard, so it's quiet despite being within walking distance of Piotrkowska's promenade, with its pubs and places to eat. The rooms are simple and clean, with a choice of shared or private bathrooms. It's a decent place to stay overnight and recharge. Service can let you in at any time, though it's better to check in before heading out. I'd come back if I need a night in Lodz.
