NoBo Hotel

I stopped in today for a break during a 10km walk with my dog. I wanted a beer, and he needed water and a rest. We were both pleased with the quick service, the smiling staff, and the general atmosphere. I hadn't been here for 3 or 4 years, but I remember the good times I spent here with family and friends. It's lovely to know you're treated just as well when you only drop by while passing.

We have been visiting from Canada 🇨🇦 over the past few years and have stayed at Nobo many times. The staff always make us feel at home. Our most recent trip was during the first week of May 2025, and everything was perfect as usual. The restaurant is top class, from the breakfast buffet to dinner fine dining.

I came back exactly two weeks later on my way home because I wanted to see the new menu, but it turned out to be the old one with just a few extra items. On my first visit, I arrived late in the evening with my parents, checked in, then went to the restaurant for dinner. I'd checked beforehand that it was open, and they had even emailed me a special invitation. But none of the dishes on the menu were available. We ate something, though it wasn't what we wanted, and it left an unpleasant feeling, like we'd been given leftovers. They said they were relaunching the menu and didn't have the products, though I didn't understand how that explained it. I didn't leave a bad review at the time. The reception staff are very friendly and the waiters are great. The problem is the administrator, who is unfriendly and aggressive. She seems to treat the restaurant as her workspace and sits in the middle of it all day with her laptop and papers.

I lost more than €100 over a simple date mistake, and the hotel wouldn’t help. I’d booked two rooms through Booking.com while rushing to leave. The computer had filled in dates with a promotional rate, and I clicked through without noticing. When I called to ask for a date change, the reception manager refused both that and a refund, even after I explained what had happened. If you’re looking for a way to waste your money, this hotel fits the bill. I’d warn anyone looking for a place to stay in Lodz.
