The palace interior has been nicely renovated, and audio guides are available. I visited the museum while staying nearby. There are three floors, and I didn't see any lifts, so it may not suit people with mobility issues. The main hall and staircase have lots of hunting trophies, which could upset animal lovers.

The hotel staff were thoughtful, even getting in touch after we left to tell me I'd forgotten my jacket in the room. They posted it to me as we arranged. Thank you for treating guests so well ❤️ My friend and I stayed three nights with our dog, and I really appreciated how dog-friendly the hotel was. It's an older place, but quiet, romantic, and full of vintage charm. The hotel sits in a beautiful, spacious park beside the river. Breakfast was varied and enjoyable, served in a castle-style dining room. We were out exploring every day, so we didn't spend an evening at the hotel, but each night we sat by the fireplace next to the restaurant with a glass of wine.

A cozy spot with good food, though it is quite expensive. There wasn't a fridge in our room.

The palace building is beautiful and worth seeing, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Prices are high, and they don't have an English menu because it's owned by Germans. The service was poor too. They told us to place our order at the bar instead of at the table because the waitress wasn't in the mood.

The gardens and restaurant were very good, and the rest of the place was lovely too. Service could be better: there was nobody at the front desk at night when we needed extra towels. We also had to ask for the Wi-Fi code, which was difficult with no one there at night.
