Dom Na Podwalu Lublin

There’s a secure car park, and the hotel is in the old town, so it’s an easy walk around.

I was only meant to stay two nights at Dom na Podwalu, but my plans changed, and I was glad to extend after my first experience there. The relaxing feel of the place, next to a church, and the friendliness of the locals made it the best accommodation I can remember from my recent travels. My room was clean, spacious enough for one person, and well equipped, with a modern, practical bathroom. The breakfast room was roomy and tidy, with plenty of food and drinks to choose from. When I asked, the person there kindly made scrambled eggs without meat for me. All the receptionists were polite, friendly, and helpful, especially when I ran into trouble with the coffee vending machine.

I spent three nights here on a business trip. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options, and parking was free. Some rooms are on the small side. The hotel is in a former monastery, in a great spot between the castle and the old town.

They had no rooms left when I arrived, and I hadn’t booked ahead. Daria still went out of her way to help: she suggested other hotels, called to check availability, and arranged a taxi. She didn’t have to do all that, and I really appreciated it. What an exceptional level of service. Thank you.
