The owner assured me on the phone that an extra bed could be arranged for a fee, after I called before booking to check whether my husband, grandson, and I could all stay in the room with its double bed. When we arrived, the room was about the size of an average bathroom, so cramped that even one person might feel claustrophobic. There was no space at all for another guest. The owner didn’t remember our call and denied saying he could arrange a bed. He said that since I booked online, I had booked it myself, and that was that. The tiny room wasn’t ready for guests either. There was a kettle but no glass, and the price was nowhere near fair for the quality. We’d paid for two nights, but after one awful night we went home. Money seems to matter most here. The owner could simply have told me honestly over the phone that more than one person couldn’t sleep in that room. Shameful.
