Hotel Stary Malbork

The room was excellent, and I thought breakfast was great too. It’s reasonably priced, and the fairly peaceful location still puts everything within walking distance. I’d recommend the hotel, though the wifi worked only about half the time in the rooms in the hotel wing. They should put some resources into upgrading the network equipment. Three access points on each floor, on the left, middle, and right, would probably improve the weak signal.

A cute, quiet place to stay, and the hotel staff were so nice and accommodating. I’d highly recommend it!

The hosts are friendly, and you can learn a lot from them about local history. Malbork Castle is within walking distance, which is another plus. The fresh-made food was delicious and gave us plenty of energy for a busy day. The rooms are lovely and very clean, with lots of space and comfortable beds and high-quality bedding. Even at 6ft6, I had more than enough room in the large double bed for me and my wife.

The room price was excellent, and the design had an ancient-times feel, as you can see in my photos. The bed was very good, and breakfast was ok, though not very varied. You can ask for different things to eat. It was a bit hot indoors, and the air conditioning was too noisy. The staff were kind, but their English wasn’t very good. I’m still undecided about recommending the place or coming back.
