We were disturbed throughout our stay in Apartment 205e Bel Mare by music from the “game room” one floor below, directly next to the apartment. It had apparently been turned into a party room, though conversations with the front desk and Mr. Marcin suggested it was never meant to be used that way. From about 4 p.m. until late at night, bass from the big speakers made it impossible to relax normally or sleep. The first night I reported it to reception three times. Only after I went there myself with the receptionist, around 11:30 p.m., was the volume brought down to an acceptable level. Security and calls from reception had no effect. The following day I called Mr. Marcin to report what happened. From his response, and reviews I later found online, the issue seemed well known. He told me to call the police and left me to sort it out. The bass started again at 4 p.m. that day. Around 9 p.m., reception told me, “It’s New Year’s Eve, and they won’t do anything about it.” We didn’t get to sleep until after 3 a.m., when the music finally stopped. We decided to leave two days early. The company refused to refund those nights, citing “civil law” and “service improvement,” whatever that was supposed to mean. They were also slow to respond. I’ve been waiting for an answer since January 1st. I definitely don’t recommend this apartment.

The hotel is just a few meters from the beach, the rooms are clean, and the neighborhood is lively. It’s an affordable holiday spot with plenty to see on every street, and you can pay in euros almost everywhere except the small supermarkets. The hotel is highly recommendable. One issue: reception is only staffed when you collect your key, and the woman there speaks neither German nor English.
Room 505 had a lovely view of the sea and pier, and the location is ideal, slightly away from the center but very close to the beach. There are several nearby places for a good meal and tasty coffee, including Avocado. The room was clean, although the windows hadn’t been properly cleaned, and it had everything I needed. A hairdryer was a nice extra. I missed having a piston or pressure coffee maker; there was a capsule machine for people who prefer that. The owner communicated well, and the welcome wine was a lovely touch. I’m taking off one star because there were no Polish TV channels for my four-day stay, apparently due to a malfunction, and because the hot water didn’t start until around 8 in the morning. I’d still recommend it :)
I had a lovely few days here to relax and was really pleased. The hotel sits right by the sea, and from the balcony of room 505 you get a nice sea view. The room had what I needed in the kitchen, including a kettle and a mini stove. It was clean and tidy, though there was some dog hair on the balcony rug. I love animals, so it didn’t bother me. Good value for the money. Have a nice stay!
I couldn't sleep properly because the bathroom in the apartment smelled so strongly of sewage. For what we paid, being put up in those conditions is shameful. The state of the bathroom makes me think the owners know about the problem and are ignoring it. I do not recommend this place.
