Apartament 102 - Mielno Dune A - Pool & Beach

The best part is the location: the beach is just a few steps away, with plenty of shops and restaurants around. We stayed in apartment 16B. The outside seating had no cushions, while other places around us had them, so we had to sit on uncomfortable bare rattan furniture. The pergola didn’t work, which meant we couldn’t use the porch when it rained. The apartment was nice otherwise, though it showed signs of use, and there were spiders all over one room when we arrived. The woman at reception was pleasant when we checked in, but later the man there acted as if we were bothering him. We were surprised that we had to ask for clean towels. You also have to take out your own trash, and cleaning is only included after departure unless you pay extra. The food was just okay most of the time. We’re not picky and ate it, but don’t expect gourmet food. The meat was always dry and tough.

The spa area is just one dry sauna and a cold pool you can’t swim in, plus a children’s paddling pool with cold water, around 24 degrees. You can rent towels and bathrobes. I was there before the season, when the breakfast restaurant was cramped; if more people came, you had to wait to get in. The viewing terraces were closed, as was the restaurant by the beach. This isn’t really a hotel, with no hotel standard or room cleaning service. The room with the garden also had no air conditioning, though I can’t speak for the others. At this price, you could stay at a proper hotel.

We came back in 2024, six years after our first stay, and it’s even better now. Our apartment was on the first floor, which was very convenient with children, and it was next to the beach, so we could smell the sea from the garden. The apartments are clean and high quality. There are buildings A, B, and C. Next time, we’d choose A, since access to the swimming pool and gym from B and C costs extra. There’s also a small playground for children.

The spa has a calm, relaxing feel, and the staff were really helpful. The hotel itself feels modern and open, with the beach only about a 50 metre walk away.
