Onyx Mielno in Mielno

For a week, it was manageable, but it wasn’t very comfortable. The rooms were tiny and we were short of some important household things. Rain also leaked into the house in a few spots. The neighbors, some teenage boys, were quite noisy and often kicked the outside wall or window.

The house is cute, and the beach is close, especially the dog beach. But you can hear the main road from everywhere. We stayed after the season, during the Polish holidays, and there were young people partying every night. In the morning, there was broken glass around the houses and our car. We’re German, and we were charged more for our dog and parking than the Polish neighbors. Our dog cost 5 zł more per day, and we paid 25 zł a day to park behind the houses. The spaces out front are better, closer to the road, and you can see your car from the porch, but they’re free. If you’re Polish and don’t mind constant road noise, it might suit you during the holidays. At other times, there may be parties nearby, and you might end up singing "sto lat" with them almost every night.

We had to sleep in our clothes because there were no heaters and it was freezing at night. The cottages were in the same run-down condition mentioned in earlier reviews. At checkout, getting the full deposit back became a problem. The owner sent his wife to inspect the cottages, and she had no manners and kicked me in the leg. After nearly 45 minutes of talking, she returned the whole deposit. The receptionist is at a different hotel. We were first met by an arrogant man, whose attitude changed as soon as he got the deposit. One star is already too many. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, I HOPE IT COMES TO ANOTHER PLACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

After a long day, it was lovely to relax by the heated pool, especially in the evening, and the loungers made it easy to unwind. The cottages were clean and had the equipment described, and the area was quiet. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely come back.
