Pensjonat Solar

Mielno itself is a charming little town, with loads of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. I picked it for my seaside holiday this year and stayed at the "Solar" guesthouse. The house is nicely decorated, with a lovely large garden and guest parking. The staff did bring fresh towels every other day and take out the rubbish, which was the one clear plus about the room service. The room needed more thought. There was no table for coffee, just one chair and a single bedside lamp beside the double bed. It felt like a way to save money. There was a balcony with two chairs but no table, so my coffee ended up on the floor. I've never come across that before. The bathroom had no soap or hand gel, and no hairdryer. Breakfast was included, but nothing special. It was the same all week, with fried sausage pieces, probably Silesian, alternating every other day with a hot dog. There were Biedronka cookies every other day as well. That was the full extent of the variety. It was a buffet, but Solar has 21 rooms and only eight breakfast tables, so when it was full, people had to eat outside or at the reception table. A disaster. The Wi-Fi showed a connection, but there was no internet. Like the chair without a table in my room, it was pointless. Maybe things will change someday. Even with these shortcomings, I still consider the stay a success.

Whether you're travelling with kids or without, it's a nice place to unwind. Pets are welcome, and there's plenty of parking. The property is clean, with a playground and a summer garden where you can relax and spend time with other guests. There's also a breakfast room and a bar with something for everyone. Highly recommended!

The double room was tiny, but it had what I needed for a short stay. A bigger bin and a new pillow would have been welcome. It was clean, quiet, and cozy, with a good location. The sea is a 15-minute walk away, there are lots of shops nearby, and breakfast was delicious. The service was friendly.

My fiancée and I spent one night here. The owners were very kind, and the hotel was clean and well cared for. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, too. We'll definitely return. Best wishes from Adam and Marta.
