A peaceful, well-placed guesthouse with clean, pleasant rooms. There’s also a restaurant downstairs serving delicious food, so everything’s right there. The standard is high, and it’s a very nice place to stay.

The service was impeccable, even though the room itself was only average. The villa looks lovely outside and in the hallways, but our room wasn’t properly cleaned: the curtains were dirty, there were cobwebs, and the floors needed more attention. The spiders were the biggest problem. Before bed on the first night, we had to get rid of 10 fairly large ones, then bought spider spray because dozens appeared on the balcony. On day one the water was dirty, as if pipe work had been done, and nobody had told us. It was fine after that.

The good thing was the location: about five minutes on foot to the beach and two minutes to the promenade. The rest was disappointing. There was no room cleaning, despite it being advertised on Booking.com. A dustpan and brush were left in the hallway for us to clean ourselves, along with bin bags. The bathroom had no hairdryer or soap, and we had to buy toilet paper. We had a sea view, but couldn’t open the window between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM because the kitchen was directly below us. The smell of fried food hung around all day and came into the bathroom through the ventilation. There were only about 7-8 parking spaces and nowhere else nearby. It was also very noisy: when the neighbors showered, it sounded like we were in the bathroom with them. After check-in, there was no further information about excursions or other communication.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the location right by the lake is fantastic. Everything’s easy to reach, but it’s still quiet. The room was small, though the amenities were adequate: a refrigerator, kettle, bed linen, and a balcony with seating and a clothesline. It could have been cleaner.
