N11 Apartamenty Mikołajki - Destigo Hotels

The flats are high-end, clean, and well equipped. Our balcony had a nice view, and the place is close to the center. There’s also a large, spacious parking area.

The kids' playroom is really nice.

The place has potential, but at 500 PLN a night for two people, the cleanliness was nowhere near good enough. There was a musty smell as soon as we walked in, like the apartment had been sitting empty for ages. Maybe it was the quiet period before the season, but the room should have been aired out before guests arrived. The carpet had odd stains. It was meant for two, yet there was just one glass, and it was dirty. The bedding looked clean at first, but when I pulled it back, the bed was covered in long black human hairs, and lint that looked like animal hair was coming out of the bedding. Disgusting. The same lint was on the living-room sofa, in the bathroom, and in the kitchen. We don’t like leaving a mess, but there wasn’t even a sponge or dish soap for washing the dirty dishes. And the 85 PLN parking fee adds to the cost. It isn’t as expensive or luxurious as the hotel it belongs to, which surely has higher cleanliness standards, but it still costs a considerable amount for an average person.

The view from our top-floor room and its large terrace were wonderful. The rooms are very nice, the apartment is in an excellent location, and the property looks great. You can use the hotel section, bowling alley, gym, and pools for an extra fee, which we knew in advance. Overall, it was a positive stay, but some basics need attention. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped: one small frying pan, a tiny pot, two glasses, no dish soap, and no sponge. There was a dishwasher with just one tablet, so with all those dishes it would have needed to be run empty every few minutes. There was a chopping board, but I think they cost 2 złoty at the store. Maybe someone left a sponge behind last time, like we did this time, and eventually the kitchen will be fully functional :). There were only two hangers, which is enough for two people, and there was a washing machine but no dryer for clothes after the pool or beach. On our last day the air conditioning stopped cooling and just blew like a fan. Maybe it was because almost everyone had left and it was cheaper, or maybe that was a coincidence. We were on the top floor, where the heated roof made it really stuffy. Opening the window meant hearing the party in the room below until 3 a.m. So, a good experience, but still a little way from perfect.
