Hi everyone, the review form asks us to share our own experience, so here's ours. The location was good and easy to find, and there are great views if you get one. My fiancée booked in February for a July stay, early enough to secure a balcony room with a view. But at check-in, the manager or owner, who reminded me of Basil Faulty, showed us a paper from an email he said he'd sent. He claimed we hadn't replied, so we were being given the Box room instead, with no view at all. We got ROOM 9. That room is right by the main road. If it's hot, you can't leave the window open without road noise keeping you awake. He said his son had tried to call us, but we work in medicine and our phones are never off because we're on call. He also claimed he'd wanted us to rebook directly, rather than through booking.com, to get a cheaper room. None of that happened, as far as we know. We booked early and still felt like we didn't matter as international customers. I can't trust Basil Faulty as a host. Breakfast was very poor too, with seriously just one sausage or eggs. We won't be back.
