The setting is a real plus, with about a 2 km walk through the forest to the beach. Mikoszewo is close by and may have better food. For more of a burger-and-chips meal, Jantar or somewhere farther along the headland could be an option. There’s plenty to keep families occupied, from lounging areas and games for kids of different ages to a swimming pool, though it’s a temporary one. The layout and facilities are what give this place its star appeal. As a family hotel and spa, though, it’s only okay at best. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, but the menu is limited and not especially adventurous. There is a tapas menu, yet no Serrano ham, which seemed like a poor omission for Spanish cuisine. Orders can take a while, fortunately there are games inside and things to do outside. We waited just under an hour for my warm goat cheese salad, toast I expected to be toasted baguette with chorizo and lots of olive oil, my wife’s cheese Pierogi (Ruskie), and my daughter’s bolognaise, which came with Fusilli instead of spaghetti.

After arranging the meal times, the service was very good, and the manager made sure I had what I needed. The food was really tasty, and I slept well. The weather was lovely too. I came across Barcelona Hotel and Restaurant online by chance and decided to take a few days off there. It turned out to be a very good experience. It was close enough to the coast, and I could borrow a bicycle from the hotel for free and ride whenever I wanted. It did feel more like a weekend hotel, though. I was the only guest, and there was nobody around after 6 pm, so I wouldn’t have been able to get anything I needed then. The setup is a little different, and I only got to speak with someone who spoke English on Friday morning, when I was leaving. I’d recommend it for a relaxing, different kind of break. The prices were fair.

We had a lovely lunch here, and there was a relaxed space to mingle and unwind afterwards. It worked really well for a family gathering, and the staff were brilliant.

Very good food in a lovely pine forest setting, with the beach nearby. The interior is nicely modern.
