Guest House Vipabo

The breakfast was especially generous, and we enjoyed our stay so much that we'll definitely come back. The hotel was lovely, with practical room furnishings, a warm welcome, and a location near both the beach and shopping area. We used a translator app to get past the language barrier. Everything else was very nice, though cushions on the salt cave chairs might be a good addition.

There’s a supermarket just across the street, and the beach is about a six-minute walk away. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was tasty and fine for a short stay. The spa looks nice, though it’s small; using the sauna costs an extra €6 per person and you need to tell them beforehand. The salt cave is free. For kids there’s a slide, swings, playhouses, and little cars like Bobby Cars. Our TV had three German channels, but one came in very badly. We could only communicate in English. It seems like a nice little hotel for a long weekend.

The rooms come with breakfast, and it’s good value for the money. Vipabo also has toys for children, plus a salt cave and sauna for cloudy days, and you can rent bicycles on site. It’s a handy base if you want to explore the area. Just watch out for the metal trim on the bed headboards, it could bump or cut your head.

The balcony was a lovely extra, good for dinner or sitting out to watch the sunset. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and there were little tables in the hallway with spare toilet paper, coffee, and tea. You could leave an iron or hairdryer there too, which was handy if you needed something without waking the owner. The salt cave and sauna are a real plus in fall and winter, when there’s less to do outdoors. It’s only about 5-7 minutes to the sea, and close to pretty much everything. The front desk gentleman was very friendly, showed us around, and explained things clearly. Our room and bathroom were small, but clean and had what we needed, including a fridge, plates, and cutlery. We’d definitely recommend it.
