Hotel Olecki

The staff made this stay for me. All three receptionists were professional and kind, and one went especially far to help when my husband felt sick during the night. She brought us lemon, tea, and tissues. I'll always remember that kindness. We found free bottles of water for all of us in a clean, spacious room. Breakfast had lots of choices, and the crepes were a real treat. Hotel Olecki is conveniently close to Auschwitz, with a bus stop right outside, so getting around was easy. I was very happy with the comfort and the staff, and would highly recommend it.

The location was excellent, and the rooms were clean and pleasant, with no frills. Breakfast was good too. The curtains don't block much light, so sunrise may wake you before you'd need an alarm.

No bedding, no pillow, and the AC was broken. Management were rude. This was a terrible place. Save yourself the hassle and stay at the hotel next door, which is miles better.

I was backpacking, and the room was clean and very reasonably priced, just a four-minute walk from the start of the Auschwitz tour. Reception sold beer at any time, and the local one was very nice. The staff were friendly, spoke very good English, and were incredibly helpful. They printed train times for me and explained how to get to the local station. Five stars from me.
