Hotel Barlinek

The lakefront setting is beautiful, but that’s about the only good part. The mattresses weren’t comfortable, and with no air conditioning, the room was around 30 degrees at night, which was really bad. We waited two hours for food, and the service was very unfriendly. I can’t recommend it.

The wedding food was great, and the room in building 2 was clean, with a comfortable double bed and a TV. I was there as a guest at a wedding party on Saturday and Sunday. The garden was nice and clean, with a small play area for children. Breakfast was never mentioned, and I didn’t have it. There was no information folder in the room, or any details there about opening hours, the restaurant, emergency contacts and exits, or other hotel services. What spoiled the stay was the reception. On arrival I waited 5-10 minutes, rang the bell several times, and other guests even opened the doors to see what was going on before the receptionist came. I planned to pay on Sunday because I was leaving early Monday at 6:15 a.m., but was told it would be fine to pay Monday since reception opened at 6:00. In the morning, the door was locked. I called; the first time they hung up before I could say anything. The second time they said reception opened at 7:00, then hung up again. Reception is a guest’s first contact with the hotel and shapes the impression. I’ll be back in Barlinek, but I’ll stay somewhere else.

The rooms are very clean, and the service is OK. There’s a wide choice of delicious food and drinks at the restaurant, and everything I tried was tasty and cool. Breakfast is included. It’s one of the best places in Barlinek to stay.

A nice place with friendly staff. The restaurant food is so tasty, and the cafe, which I think is part of the hotel, has amazing ice cream, coffee, and more.
