Arche Hotel Pila

Breakfast came in generous portions and tasted great. Lunch and dinner were delicious too, with vegetarian choices available. The staff at Hotel Arche were fantastic, and the place felt modern and clean. The prices were reasonable.

We stayed for seven nights, and I wouldn't return. The location is great, but the food felt poor value for its price. We also disliked the industrial design, and the room felt claustrophobic for a week-long stay. For a shorter visit, it might be okay.

The room had what I needed and was comfortable, though the layout was confusing enough that it was easy to get lost. The restaurant food was delicious and the service was okay. Reception, bar, and restaurant all have a modern look with some cool features, and the staff were friendly. It’s a trendy hotel with nice facilities and atmosphere. A good place with what you need, and I’d recommend it.

We chose this hotel because it was newer than the other one in town, and the only better option we could find. It was clean enough, which was a plus, but I wouldn’t choose it willingly. It didn’t feel like a four-star hotel to me, more like an Ibis or another three-star place. The location is central, and it’s a five-minute drive to Pila train station. The design made it hard for me to relax. Yellow and black run through the hotel, with black doors and dark carpets, and the raw concrete ceilings made it feel like a warehouse. The corridors kept reminding me of a horror film. The shower setup was a problem too. The screen was too short to stop water splashing onto the floor tiles, and the water pooled instead of draining. The shower tap was mounted on the side wall, an odd design that added to the flooding. On Thursday morning, November 16th, on the third floor, the cleaning staff disturbed us with loud conversations and slamming doors. They spoke at the top of their voices and seemed not to care that guests were there. The pillows were worn and very uncomfortable. The mattress protector was cheap polyester that didn’t breathe, and it made us sweat so much that we woke up in the night and took it off.
