Hotel NAT Piwniczna Zdrój

The setting above the forest and the decor, especially in the cafe and dining room, made the place feel cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, but the food quality was only average. Scrambled eggs appeared just one day, while sausages were there every day. Some things seemed affected by cost-cutting, including fake Nutela and bread rolls, and the good egg spread wasn't always replaced when it ran out. There were no doughnuts on Fat Thursday, then the ones served the next day were dry, maybe bought cheaper after the holiday. 🤣 Our room had a balcony shared with the adjacent room, and the curtains left part of the window uncovered. We skipped lunch and dinner since Piwniczna's center has plenty of good places to eat.

Piwniczna-Zdrój is quiet and surrounded by nature, a good place to get away from the city and recharge. The day was full of activity, from the 7:30 morning warm-up to a mountain hike, afternoon exercise, then the pool and saunas. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was fresh and very good. If hiking isn't your thing, this probably isn't the place for you.

I asked about a package price and found it was nearly twice the cost of a similar offer at another hotel in the same chain in Krynica. Rather than giving a clear answer or explaining the difference, the hotel blocked me. I find that completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Asking about offers and prices is normal, and this treatment makes me doubt their customer service and puts me off using the hotel.

We visited over Christmas, when the hotel's decorations felt magical and the holiday attractions were really touching. The staff were all friendly and ready to help. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the food delicious. The surroundings are beautiful too. I recommend staying here.
