Villa Arizona

We refused the room at the Arizona because it was tiny, with nowhere for our suitcases, and they wouldn't refund our deposit at first. We had booked a triple room by phone, paid 30% upfront, and specified that we wanted a balcony. When we arrived, there was only a small room for two. The receptionist seemed unsure what to do, then called the owner or manager, who said adding a third bed would be no problem. But to fit it, we were told we’d have to bring a wardrobe, a table, and two chairs. The receptionist saw no issue, even though adding the bed would stop the front door from opening. The room was about 2 meters, perhaps 2.3 meters wide, and maybe 3.5 meters long. It cost 250 PLN a night. We were told the lack of a suitable room was our fault for not booking properly, and that we wouldn't get our money back. The owner was very rude on the phone, and we felt she was trying to intimidate us. It seemed the word SORRY wasn't in her vocabulary. We emailed to say we'd take the matter to court and the tourism board. A week later, our deposit was refunded. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

The only good thing was the friendly women at reception. The old villa smelled very unpleasantly of toilet. Better to stay somewhere else.

It was clean and tidy, with lots of space and plenty of parking. It can get quite cold, though. The place is quiet and peaceful, and close to the center. Not bad.

Such a shame.
