For a self-proclaimed 4-star hotel, this was a disappointing stay. We spent three nights in the Honolulu room on the ground floor, and it fell well short of what I expect from a 4-star place. Sleep was nearly impossible. The walls and doors are so thin that we heard neighboring guests talking, TVs, doors slamming in the corridors, and water running through the pipes whenever someone flushed. Light was another problem: the thin curtains let daylight pour in at 5 AM every morning. The hotel hands out eye masks instead of fitting proper blackout curtains, and it also provides earplugs. To me, those workarounds suggest they know about the ongoing noise, insulation, and light problems but have chosen not to fix them. The room was small for its category, and one bathrobe was torn and missing its belt loop. We were also charged for two tiny tubes of toothpaste, each barely larger than a finger. In all my years staying in hotels, that’s the first time I’ve been billed for toothpaste at a 4-star establishment. This felt much more like a guesthouse or budget rental than a 4-star hotel. The problems go beyond housekeeping, and the offered fixes don’t address the underlying issues.

Breakfast was a real highlight, 10+ for the choice and quality, even if the omelette took a little while. There’s lovely design, lots of natural light, and plenty of nice details. The room was a bit small, though. Maybe the bathroom could lose some space and give the room another 20 cm. It’s almost perfect.

The attention to detail was lovely throughout, and the service was really nice. Before we arrived, they had us fill out a form about scent and pillow preferences, whether we wanted sports equipment in the room, and whether we wanted games. I’ve never had that kind of service before. Breakfast was great, with a buffet plus made-to-order dishes if you book it, including shakshuka and pistachio pancakes. The spa area is super new; we had it all to ourselves. There’s even a shower that simulates a tropical storm, plus infrared chairs for relaxing. Our bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, and such a good weekend getaway. Can totally recommend it!

It’s quiet, clean, and comfortable, with lovely little extras that feel just right. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location puts everything you need close by.

We had a good stay, 7/10. The hotel is in a great spot, just a five-minute walk from the old town. Breakfast was great: you could order cooked dishes as well as choose from the buffet, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We started in room 2, where the curtain didn’t close properly and was quite sheer, so it got bright very early. The staff kindly moved us to room 3 the next day. Both rooms had enough space for two open suitcases. I’d suggest upgrading the curtains to proper blackout ones. I imagine the issue in room 2 may have been fixed by now.
