Hotel Gaja

My son and I came for a weekend, and it was easy to get here from the airport, with a bus stop just around the corner. There’s also a convenience store nearby and a huge shopping mall about 10 minutes away. The hotel is opposite the city's free zoo and well placed for reaching town and various tourist attractions. The room furnishings are getting tired. The beds are worn, and the pillows quite lumpy. Still, it was only a couple of nights.

We were treated like we weren't welcome from the moment we reached reception. Nobody greeted us or showed any manners during our stay. After we filled in the forms, the woman at the desk sat down without saying another word, so we had to find our own way to the room. The room was small, with a tiny TV and a double bed made up with two small single quilts. When we asked for assistance, there was no acknowledgment, and the staff weren't accommodating. They were very rude. I'd avoid this place.

Breakfast was amazing. I'm still thinking about the sausages and the selection of cheeses, and wish I could get them back home. The rooms were spacious and clean, and ours had a balcony with a lovely view of the zoo park. Hotel Gaja is a great place to stay in Poznan. It's a little outside the center, but quiet and discreet, with good spots nearby, including the old Zoo, which is worth visiting. The staff were proper, kind, and professional. 10/10, recommended.

A perfectly reasonable hotel, with reasonably comfortable beds. The room smelled a little, though, and there should have been spare pillows in the wardrobe. I had to go get them. The sink and shower also drained slowly, so the bathroom seems to have a drainage problem.
