Kortowo Hotel

There’s plenty to keep you busy here, from tennis courts and a sauna to toys and games for the kids, and it’s great value for money. We relied on public transport and taxis and had no problems; the place is well signposted and conveniently close to the motorway. Staff were welcoming and friendly all the way from reception to the restaurant and housekeeping. Our clean, pleasant room had air conditioning and a spacious bathroom, and we loved the little touches, including tennis balls for all guests and coconut-scented soap. There was a good range of dishes for adults and kids, and everything we tried came in hearty portions and tasted delicious. Breakfast and coffee were excellent. The atmosphere was friendly, with lots to do.

This seemed like a really nice hotel, with fun tennis-themed rooms, helpful and friendly staff, and a handy spot near the highway for an overnight road trip. It looks like a great place for tennis lovers. But we would’ve loved our stay under different circumstances. The booking information didn’t make it clear that the hotel wasn’t suitable for traveling with a three-month-old. The crib they offered felt unsafe, with no mattress and loose covers. We’d have chosen another hotel if they’d told us upfront that they don’t advise bringing very young babies. This place seems more suitable for children from 1.5 years old.

The staff went above and beyond to meet our requests, and the service was hard to fault. We enjoyed the food and the tennis courts, and our coach was great too. I’d recommend the venue and hope to come back for another tennis vacation.

It works for travelers passing through because of the location, and that’s about it. The beds were uncomfortable, too soft, with mattresses that seemed very worn. The restaurant food was average and didn’t seem freshly prepared on site. Fine if you just need a bite, but not a classic dinner. You can get by, sure, just don’t expect much.
