I felt safe travelling alone here, with several locked gates and doors between the street and my room. For £28, the location near the centre was hard to beat, and I'd stay again. I only needed somewhere to sleep before heading home the next day. The owners kindly kept my suitcase until 3pm on check-out day, and checkout was by midday. I took photos of the different areas in case they help other travellers. Getting in takes a few steps: press button 7 on the buzzer to the right, then the owner opens the large metal gates. The building entrance is halfway along the passage on the right. Go up one flight, then use the door on the left to reach a sort of reception area, where I picked up my keys and fob. My room was up another flight. On the second landing there's another set of lockable doors, and you get a key for them. They lead to a corridor with some bedrooms. I think there are rooms on the top floor too. I stayed one night while visiting Poznan. My en-suite room was clean and a good size, with a shower that had fantastic pressure. I was given a twin room as a solo female traveller. The decor is traditional and probably hasn't been updated for some time, but the place was tidy and clean, which mattered more to me. There was no air conditioning, so with the recent heat of 33° I kept the windows open. At 5am, people below my second-floor window were chatting and laughing so loudly that I had to get up and shut the windows. The large windows and unlined curtains also let in all the light at sunrise. I had to be up anyway, so it wasn't too much of a problem for me, but it could bother light sleepers. The mattresses could use replacing too. Sitting on one, I could feel the bed base, though it wasn't as bad when lying down.
