Platinum Residence Boutique Hotel

The staff don't seem to care, and this definitely isn't a 4-star hotel. The foyer floor needs a mop. They pushed two single beds together, so I kept falling into the gap.

I barely slept during my 13-night stay. The hotel is beside a busy road, so there were truck horns and sirens at all hours, and there was a construction site right next door. The rooms weren't comfortable either: cramped, with nowhere comfortable to sit, and one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on. The pillows were even worse, so I bought my own. The curtains let in all the light at sunrise, and the noise and lack of comfort made the whole stay disappointing. I booked because the price seemed fair, the hotel had AC, and it advertised a shuttle. The staff were very nice, but when I tried to arrange the shuttle on arrival day, I found out they only call a cab for you, and it was very pricey. The first room was much smaller than I expected. Its carpet was stained, the mini fridge didn't work, and the AC was broken, so it was really hot. We switched rooms because of the AC, but the second room had the same problems. The bathroom was badly designed. Every shower flooded the floor, no matter how careful I was, and the water pressure often went out. The toilet malfunctioned a lot too, with toilet paper coming back up after flushing. Since I was there so long, we asked several times how much laundry would cost. They finally said it wasn't much, but it came to 77 USD. I would've washed it in the sink if I'd known. Breakfast was awful. I usually just had a biscuit or slice of bread, or brought my own food down so I could have coffee. We thought cold breakfast was free and that only food ordered from the kitchen cost extra. They didn't explain otherwise, so we were shocked to be charged 204 US dollars. We hardly ate. We were very disappointed.

Amazing breakfast options, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This place is a hidden gem. Since it's not a big international chain, I might never have found it otherwise.
