Stay99 Apart

We were very happy with the location once we found the apartment. It was a couple of blocks from the office and the “stay99” spot shown on Google Maps, so getting there was fairly confusing. Look for Taj Mahal restaurant, then the apartments are on its left. The little place feels more like a short-term rental than a hotel: no room service, but there’s a mini kitchen and washing machine. One thing to bear in mind is the stairs. They’re steep, and there’s no elevator, so it could be tough for anyone with limited mobility.

We had booked two nights, but this was such an unpleasant experience that we didn’t stay at all. The room smelled like vomit as soon as we entered. We traced it to the AC and called the owner. He came over, said he couldn’t smell anything, then blamed the fridge, even though we’d checked and it wasn’t the source. He was also mean to my father and couldn’t speak politely to a customer.

The location is excellent, and the apartment is very well furnished, with all the appliances you could need. Getting in was difficult, though, and reaching it meant climbing three floors on narrow stairs.

From the small windows you can look straight toward the old town. This is a very nice, compact apartment near the main square, with a good coffee machine and tea. There’s a small supermarket and good restaurants nearby.
