Sunny Hotel

The pump was noisy and causing a problem. The service was nice, the location good, and parking was fine. Breakfast was disappointing, there wasn’t even scrambled eggs.

The hotel may have seen better days, but the room and bathroom still need to be clean. I can’t recommend it.

My son and I were sent here by a work agency, and I’ve never stayed in a hotel this filthy or foul-smelling. We ended up cleaning our own room just to manage two days there, but the cat urine and rat smell were nauseating. The windows, sills, bed, and floors were all dirty. Some bathrooms had no working exhaust fan, and people in neighboring rooms smoked in theirs. One room had been occupied by people with a cat, but nobody cleaned it after they left. The reception staff weren’t welcoming either. The woman who handed us the keys spoke only Polish, which made it hard to understand each other. We had to make our own food in the basement kitchen, which foreign employees, Indians, also used. Nobody kept it clean: grease splattered the stoves, and there was water on the table and floor. There was a laundry room right beside it, and people dried their washed clothes in the kitchen. We’d go in to cook and find socks hanging on wooden pallets. I don’t even know what to say.

We stopped at Sunny Hotel at midnight on the way home. The place may have potential, but it feels like everything is barely holding together, as if it’s being kept up with duct tape and hope. It has four stars, probably from its glory days around two decades ago. The bathroom was bare, like a student's fridge before payday, with no soap or shampoo. Breakfast was there in name, but there was hardly any food, and what was available seemed improvised. It’s a shame, because it could be a nice hotel if the owner took an interest before it all falls apart.
