SPA Hotel Gloria

The staff are friendly, and the amenities are magnificent. It’s pet friendly too, which matters a lot to us. I highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk lady was polite and friendly, and her English was very good. The bathrooms were clean, the beds were decent and clean, and dinner was an alright buffet. But the room needed a deep clean, especially the floors and furniture, and the walls needed fresh paint. There was no AC, just a small fan. We opened the window and put the fan on to bring in fresh air, but smoke from people outside the hotel and on the balcony made our room stink. We don’t smoke. Four people in a room with one tiny window and a fan wasn’t adequate, and the family rooms definitely weren’t as spectacular as in some guest photos. The pool was adequate for a two-star hotel, but there were no extra towels for it. We’d stayed in three-star places over the previous couple of weeks, and I don’t know how this hotel got its rating. The outside looks pretty good, but inside was another story. It would be okay for one night for a group of adults travelling across the country without kids. I think the smaller rooms are better because they have AC. In our room, the smoke made me sneeze all night.

The staff were friendly, the bed was very comfortable, and I fell asleep right away. They serve a buffet with basic breakfast items. I only spent one night there, so that’s not much time to judge. The hotel was comfortable, though arriving late at night made it feel a bit eerie. It’s about 1 km from the station, but practically on the highway, with not much nearby to walk to. Fine for a short stay.

They got it right, so there’s not much to add except to keep it up. I asked about using the pool and sauna, and they were helpful in English, including for a native speaker.
