Grzywaczówka

The owners are what give this place its special feel. Ms. Małgosia is warm and helpful, and makes people feel cared for. Mr. Krzysztof built the place himself, and his passion shows in how well everything is kept. When something does go wrong, he sorts it out quickly. I’ve been coming back to Grzywaczówka for ten years, and I can honestly say nowhere else compares. It’s a great way to enjoy the Karkonosze Mountains surrounded by nature, away from the city noise. The nearby waterfall, birds, and forest sounds make it easy to relax. The setting is far enough from civilization to feel like you’re in the mountains, while still being close to Cieplice Thermal Baths, the Siruwia Japanese Garden, Karpacz, Śnieżka, Szklarska Poręba, and the Kowary mines. A place with a lot of heart and passion, which I wholeheartedly recommend.

There are plenty of trails nearby, and cyclists should find lots to enjoy too. Getting to Karpacz and Jelenia Góra is easy. The Amelia cottage works well for eight people and has everything you need. It’s a lovely place to relax, with views you won’t forget, and the hostess is very kind and helpful.

The trip became stressful for us, which is why I’ve only given three stars, even though the stay itself deserved five. The cottages at Grzywaczówka in Przesieka are spacious, functional, clean, and very well equipped, with terraces and a beautiful mountain view. It’s tucked away near the forest. On cold evenings, the stove heats the place well. I did miss having a microwave to warm things up instead of using gas. Concordia is about a kilometer away through the forest, and you can walk there for a tasty dinner or dessert.

The owners are really friendly and happy to suggest things to see nearby. The cottages are well cared for and nicely equipped, and there are lots of walking trails around. A good spot for a break with kids. We’d gladly come back 🙂
