This review is only about the two-room apartment marked Apartment A4, which we rented for 6 nights. The surroundings were the best part, once you made peace with the view outside the windows. Shops were very easy to get to, parking was fairly easy, and Rabkaland was only a 5-minute walk away. The apartment itself was spacious and had recently been renovated, probably along with the whole building, though on a budget. The floors creaked badly, and the layout didn’t seem to take sensible access to power outlets into account. That view came with quite a soundtrack, especially in the early morning. At 4 a.m. there might be a forklift moving goods, and between 5 and 6 a.m. someone might be shifting pallets around. From the coal and scrap yard there were also regular groans, squeaks, shuffling and grinding noises. I’d keep the windows shut at night, and light sleepers may want earplugs. The bedroom mattress was so soft that you sank into it. The living-room sofa was much better. Cleaning needs attention too: we saw greasy marks on the tiles and the cupboard above the induction cooktop, and the floors seemed questionable. My daughter’s socks were black after she ran around without slippers for a dozen or so minutes. There were only three pillows for three adults, not even four, and just one set of towels for two people. It also seems absurd to treat a 3-year-old as an adult while charging an extra 10 PLN per night for a 4-month-old. That’s especially disappointing in Rabka, which is considered child-friendly. It might be easier to accept if there were amenities for children, but we didn’t find any. The lack of an electric towel rack was another issue, especially on colder days and with small children. The place gets a solid 3 stars for the convenient area. For the rest, it’s a solid 2 out of 10. Nothing here felt above average.

Check-in went smoothly, and we could arrive at any time. The room had TV and internet, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was spotless, comfortable and nicely furnished. I highly recommend it.

Parking can be a hassle. There are no spaces reserved for the building, and a spot nearby isn’t always available. When there isn’t one, you have to search, since the only other option is hourly paid parking.

A really nice place, though the view from the balcony or terrace wasn’t the garden we’d expected.
