Villa Cassia

The home-cooked meals would bring me back on their own, if that's your kind of food. Breakfast and lunch were both delicious. When a child wanted cereal with milk, the very nice kitchen staff brought it over without a fuss. The villa's location is a clear plus, with the park just a few steps away and lots of room for kids to play there. There's also a garden behind the villa with a small play area, though you probably won't need it. The rooms are basic rather than luxurious, but have what you need: beds, wall lamps, an in-room toilet, kettle and glasses, cutlery, towels, and even a vacuum cleaner in the hallway for guests. We had to use it once. There's a balcony too, although only two chairs fit. We recommend it and will definitely return.

We stayed September 1st to September 8th, 2024, and had booked two separate, comfortable double rooms with bathrooms and balconies for seniors. We were assigned rooms no. 7 and no. 8. Room no. 7 was fine, and the seniors were happy. Room no. 8 was a studio and not what I had booked. It was uncomfortable, had no balcony, and contained two beds, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, a table, and two armchairs crammed under the wall-mounted TV, plus a small sink. From the hallway, there was access to a north-facing balcony and a small, uncomfortable, old, ugly bathroom with a shower and toilet, but WITHOUT A SINK! The receptionist, Julia, confirmed that both reservations were for rooms of the same standard. The reception desk is at Villa Medica. I asked for a lower price because the room was below the standard booked, but the manager wouldn't change it. I paid the same as for room no. 7. On the same date, two seniors in room no. 6, a luxury room compared with our no. 8, paid 30 PLN less per person per night than the price for "our apartment." The staff were kind and very helpful, and the beds were comfortable. We had the top-floor unit with a 30-square-meter kitchenette. The rooms were nice and clean, and it's close to everything.

The food is the standout here: delicious home cooking, with a three-course meal served between 4 and 5 pm. The place is clean, quiet, and cozy, and there's parking behind gates that lock. A few things got in the way of resting, though. The curtains are just for show, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and kitchen noise carried into the rooms.
