Hotel Racibor

I left because dogs aren't allowed. Before that, I found the staff friendly, though they needed management to approve every decision, and their language skills varied. The hotel is in the city center and has something of a boutique-hotel feel, but the single rooms and bathrooms are very small.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and overall the stay was good. My single room had AC controls, but it was too cramped to work at a desk. The bed felt too soft, and I could feel a spring in my lower back. They might want to consider replacing it, as there are good foam mattresses available. I couldn't find a stair-free way to the breakfast area, and since I can't manage stairs, I missed breakfast. The mattress was the other letdown.

The breakfast buffet had fresh pastries, coffee, eggs, and cold cuts, and sanitizing gel was provided in the rooms. I also saw staff following COVID rules in nearly every area. The receptionist was especially nice and helpful throughout our stay, including with suggestions for places to eat. The rooms were clean and tidy with some good amenities, though the pillows were painful to sleep on and really need attention. I'd recommend it for a stay in Raciborz: good value and within walking distance of the city center.

After coming here for 12 years, I won't be back. The location is excellent, but the hotel seems to get worse every month. The shower was broken, there was no toilet paper, and the rooms were cold. They asked me twice for advance reservations, once for the room and once for meals, with a staff member asking how much I'd eat over the next six days. They took a total of 550 euro in advance, as if I were a first-time guest. The power went out three times today, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. They'd be better off saying they don't have Wi-Fi. There are definitely better places to stay in Raciborz.
