Faleza

The photos on Booking.com gave us a completely unrealistic idea of the place. On arrival we felt disgusted and disappointed. The room was stuffy and claustrophobic, with a cramped little bedroom and two beds instead of one double. There wasn’t even a small fan. The bathroom was a nightmare, with the shower, sink, and toilet barely cleaned. We spent a week cleaning it ourselves with our own money and supplies, but a horrible smell still came from the drains. I don’t recommend it.

The location is excellent, right in the center. The room itself was small and not quite like the pictures. We were meant to have a double bed, but got two singles instead. The bathroom was all right, just a little small. There was no air conditioning, so nights were hot and stuffy.

We stayed at DW Faleza in early September 2024. It was a wonderful stay and affordable. The owner was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and tidy. We had a triple room, which got a little street noise during the day but was quiet at night. The double rooms are small, though honestly, being indoors all vacation would be a mistake. There are nice south-facing terraces, and free parking is a plus. It’s close to the beach and Whale Square. I’d definitely recommend DW Faleza if you like being in the middle of things.

We expected better conditions for the price. The apartment felt neglected, and the photos showed something different. The bedroom was cramped, the bed was small, and it was stuffy with no air conditioning. There was mold in the shower stall, and the sink and washbasin had only been given a surface clean. Communication with the woman managing it was very limited; she only told us at the last minute where the apartment was. She also took a security deposit without listing any damage that was already there.
