Royal Blue Port

The room with a mezzanine gave my husband, son, and me a lovely lake view through a skylight, though I wish we'd had a balcony instead. The mezzanine had the most space, but without bedside lamps, reading in bed at night wasn't possible. There also wasn't much room to eat breakfast indoors, though in good weather we could use the balcony table. The bathroom was tiny and had no space for toiletries, and sound carried badly through the building. The worst of it came from the stairs to the mezzanine in the neighboring room. Still, the apartments are new and tastefully done in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from the beach and center. When we realized we'd arrived a day early for our vacation, the helpful owner quickly arranged overnight accommodation elsewhere. The place has potential with a few changes.

The biggest comfort issue was the entrance door, which had a gap about 8 cm wide. Anyone in the hallway could hear every word inside, and we could hear people coming in. The beds were coming apart, so although they stood next to each other, someone ended up in the middle each night with an arm or leg. The stairs to the "first floor" creaked, both ours and the neighbors', making every trip downstairs a pain. Cooking was awkward in the tiny kitchen with no countertop, so I recommend using only the heating system. The aluminum bike rack was loose and weighed about 6 kg, and the gate wasn't locked at night. We wanted to bring our bikes onto the balcony but weren't allowed. A few things need fixing. The resort is new, clean, and well maintained.

The air conditioning was a huge hit during our stay, especially with outside temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius! :) Our week here gets a 10/10 from me, apart from the Baltic Sea, which "could have been closer and the water warmer." The apartment was new, modern, and had everything needed for a relaxing stay: TV, electric kettle, refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, and air conditioning. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished.

I was born by the seaside, so I love this area, and Rowy is such a pretty, picturesque town. We picked Royal Blue Port mainly for comfort, modernity, and price. The apartments were beautifully finished, tastefully decorated, and spacious enough for a family of four. They had all the comforts you'd expect at home, maybe even more than enough. The owners were kind and helpful, and there's a shop nearby. For me, it's the perfect vacation spot.
