Hostel Wiarus

The room was clean, the bathroom looked after, and the monitored parking meant coming back late at night was no trouble. The gentleman who greeted us was lovely. The only unpleasant part was the older woman who gave us the keys in the morning; she was really rude.

Finding someone at reception to hand back the keys can be difficult, since it's not always staffed. The rooms and bathroom were decent 👍. Being right by a church also means you hear every service in the morning, along with conversations outside and in the corridor.

We paid around PLN 100 for a night in a room with two single beds. Since we had a small child, we pushed them together, and the three of us fit easily; the beds were comfortable. There was a wardrobe, armchairs, a bedside table and a bench in the room. We shared a block with another room, occupied by a guy who came to sleep and left in the morning. We got lucky with that, because the soundproofing is poor. The shared block had a clean shower and toilet, and we were given fresh towels. There's also a corridor and a little kitchenette with a kettle, fridge, microwave, dishes and sink. The staff were pleasant. It's right in the center, on a side street off 3 May, and was quiet despite that. Free parking, and Bedronka and Zhabka are only a few steps away. The train station is a 10-minute walk. A great choice for a night or two, I recommend it.

It was clean and fairly cozy, and the uncle we spoke with was friendly. He didn't speak English, though. The payment through booking wasn't accepted, and the actual price was a little different.
