Apartamenty Sun&Snow Przy Monte Cassino

The location is fantastic, but that's about the only good thing. The apartment is dirty, the shower leaks, and the seaweed mentioned in earlier reviews is there too. Plates are chipped, utensils are cracked, and the balcony is terribly dirty. The curtain rod is barely holding on and almost falling off the wall. I'd suggest getting a good cleaning crew.

The TV is a big plus. It was there and worked. Beyond that, I absolutely wouldn't rent this "apartment" at Majkowskiego Street 13/2 in Sopot. The standard and cleanliness feel stuck in the 1990s. There's mold in the shower, and the broken faucet won't let you adjust the water temperature. The dishwasher is moldy and doesn't clean dishes, and only two capsules were provided for four people for five days. The sofa is broken with its sides coming off, the curtains have strange white marks, and the balcony door won't shut properly. The bathroom tiles seem to have been painted with a roller, and the paint is peeling. The room light bulbs are burned out. Hot warning: the cooktop works with induction only, but some pots and pans in the drawers aren't compatible with it. There's no dryer, despite the listing saying there is, and there were only two rolls of toilet paper for four people for five days. I suppose we should be glad there was hot water and a mirror. The actual condition is nothing like the photos on the website or booking site. They were probably taken just after the renovation. The manager is still marketing and renting it as top or exclusive, but it feels like a typical attempt to lure guests in with a nice standard and deliver a place that's a mess, from the late communist era. It feels like renovation costs were cut, with the attitude of just getting through another season and doing the work later if enough reviews come in. Dear Sun and Something, this apartment shouldn't host any more tourists without a major renovation. It's an embarrassment to Poland and Europe, especially as a tourist from outside Poland.

We had a wonderful long weekend in the Monte Casino apartment. It's spacious and comfortable for a group, and the location is great, close to the center, beach, and train station. I highly recommend it.

The room was mostly clean and the bathroom was roomy, but the bedding was stained and dirty, and there wasn’t any toilet paper. The extra bed was just a mattress on the floor, which was a joke. The location also wasn’t where we expected on the main street. They didn’t tell us about the extra charge for picking up keys after 6 PM, though there’s no charge after 10 PM. Keys have to be collected and returned somewhere else, and the deposit only comes back after 5 to 7 business days. They don’t check the cottage right away afterward, so make of that what you will.
