Hostel 19 Sopot

I lived here as an Erasmus student during the winter, when rooms are rented long term. The place is fairly new, clean, and close to both the city centre and the sea. The noise made it hard to sleep. The walls are thin, the doors don’t block sound, and I could hear people in the common room. Parties outside got noisy too. I was sharing with people who were loud and liked partying. My contract didn’t let me end the lease, but I found someone to take over my place and managed to leave after two weeks. It could work if you know your housemates or don’t mind noise and parties. If you need quiet and they don’t, you probably won’t enjoy living there.

If nightlife is your thing, you won't feel left out here. The rooms sit right above a restaurant with live jazz playing all night. Early risers might pack earplugs, though they may not help much.

The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and there were enough bathrooms along with all the basic amenities. The location was a plus too. A few drawbacks: corner rooms have less headroom because of the roof. Ventilation might feel a bit poor when every room is occupied, though it wasn’t an issue for us. Access is by stairs only, so keep that in mind if going up and down is difficult for you.

Ms. Swietlana really looks after the guests’ comfort and cleanliness. Everything was kept tidy, and the atmosphere felt so welcoming that it was easy to meet people and feel part of a community. It’s close to the city centre but still peaceful. The hostel felt like a home away from home, and I’d happily return and recommend it to other travelers.
