Love Sopot Residence

The balcony is generous, but the room itself was closer to 18 sqm than the 23-25 sqm listed on the booking site we used. The place was alright. The owner or manager, though, could use some customer service training. We hadn't realized there was no evening staff, and he didn't mention that during either of my two phone calls. When I called while we were travelling from Warsaw to say we'd arrive a few hours late, he got angry and lectured us as if we'd failed to show up for a job. He said being around 15 minutes late was acceptable, told us we were far beyond that, then hung up. My card was declined by the hotel even though the booking site had authorized it and confirmed the reservation. It had worked at restaurants and shops earlier and worked again at dinner later. He said he'd take payment the next day and cancelled the reservation made through the site. The card worked fine the next morning. I suspect he wanted to avoid paying the booking site's commission. He should leave customer contact to someone else.
