Metropolis Domki

We were happy with the campsite during our campervan stay. It’s in a nice natural setting, and the bathrooms were roomy, clean, and convenient. There was also a dishwashing area and a playground for children. The staff were kind.

The bathroom was the biggest problem for us. It had no window, and the tiny, weak vent did little to clear the humidity, so the room stayed damp for days. A strong sewage like smell lingered, and black mold appeared around the ceiling. We left the doors open all day, which only helped briefly. There was sand across the chalet too, making it unpleasant to walk around barefoot and easy to spread further. On the positive side, the campus has several parking areas, a playground, a coffee and cocktail bar, and a restaurant with a lovely garden furnished with chairs, hammocks, and tables. Breakfast came with plenty of choices and fresh baked goods. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, and the Aquapark was our highlight, just a five-minute stroll away. Families with children may really like the place.

The showers were the one letdown: my wife found the hot water fine on the women's side, but I couldn't say the same for the men's. The rest of our summer holiday stay was fantastic. The front desk staff were great, friendly, and helped us get electricity set up a few times. With an electric hookup, you can park right in front of your tent, which is handy. A path through a little forest takes you to the beach on foot. LIDL, a pizza place, a pleasant Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and the SOPOT Aquapark are all within easy walking distance. The aquapark is good for swimming and indoor or outdoor water activities.

Best campsite of my trip. The pitch was clean, the hot showers were included, and it stayed quiet and peaceful even though the road was close. Reception was open late, the staff spoke English, and they were lovely. I felt right at home.
