The place has a lot of charm and is in a perfect location, but breakfast service was chaotic. It was meant to run from 8 to 11 a.m., yet some dishes were already gone by 9:30. When we asked about pancakes, a smiling staff member just waved a hand and said they were sold out until tomorrow, since the batter would be made in the afternoon. Is making fresh pancakes really that difficult? Pancakes weren't the only thing in short supply. We had to compete with other guests for tables, mugs, and cups whenever staff brought out a new dish. We also skipped the buffet dinners because we worried the kids might want something that had already run out halfway through, like chicken or tomato soup.

There's a lovely park on the grounds, parking at the property, and the beach entrance is just opposite, by the Blue Wave bar. Parking does cost extra. We stayed in an old villa that has lost some of its charm, though it's still a lovely place, and I'd recommend it. Breakfast had a big selection, including pancakes that could be a hazard for anyone with a sweet tooth. My one disappointment was that the room had no body wash, despite the description saying it would. We had to walk to a drugstore, and reception couldn't sort it out. I'll recommend the Blue Wave bar in a separate review.

I was so disappointed to learn that the room I booked for this year's vacation had been entered incorrectly. A year ago, I booked the same suite in person for our group of four because we loved staying here and wanted to return. After getting the payment details, I called to check and was told we'd booked a double room in a different property instead. How does an agreed suite for four turn into a double room elsewhere? I feel cheated after planning this trip for a year and trusting the booking was right. I gave this one star with real regret. The hotel itself is wonderful, and I loved it last year, but the way a loyal customer was treated was beyond reproach. Booking a year ahead clearly didn't guarantee anything. I'd warn others not to assume it will.

The rooms are spacious, clean, tidy, and well equipped, with sea views, and breakfast is a great buffet. The property sits by the seafront with a large park around it and parking on site. I'd highly recommend a visit.
