Sanhaus Apartments - Chopina

There’s no parking, and the rules made us nervous about doing anything that might cost us our deposit or get us thrown out. We were told to take the trash out before leaving or risk a fine, and signs warned that noise could mean eviction. For the first three days, though, music was blaring through the building, and nobody at the office picked up the phone. The room had a persistent damp smell whenever we walked in. It also wasn’t properly clean: the paintings were dirty and the refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned well. The booking page said coffee capsules were free, but the room information said that only applied to people who booked directly, not through the app. The location is good and the rooms are well equipped.

We had a really pleasant two-day stay. The apartment had everything we needed, was very clean, and is in a great location. :)

Getting the keys and handling the deposit took a lot of extra trips. The office is 1 km from the apartment and closes at 7 PM on weekdays. After a long journey, I had to go back and forth for the keys, return on Saturday for the check-in paperwork and deposit, then go there again at 6 AM on Sunday to drop off the keys before heading to the airport. Remote check-in and check-out aren’t available, which is inconvenient when rentals elsewhere often let you do those things remotely. I was surprised, too, to see the apartment service vehicle at the building on Sunday while I was there dealing with check-in and the deposit. The apartment itself was spacious and well equipped. We stayed three days with friends and had a good time. There were toiletries, toilet paper, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, and a kitchen set up for cooking, with a dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine with free capsules. Our Amber apartment had a double bed and a fold-out sofa. It warmed up quickly and held its temperature well. The location is excellent, a short walk from the main train station and about 10 minutes from the Sopot Pier. A couple of things around the building bothered me. The entrance was dingy and covered in bird droppings. The front door didn’t lock, so I didn’t feel very safe coming back in the evening. You can only switch on the entrance light from the first floor. It also took patience to get the water temperature right in the sink and shower, since hot and cold water have separate taps.

The Lemon Apartment had everything needed to prepare or heat meals, plus a TV and appliances. Laundry and ironing were possible, and there was a place to store important documents. The bathroom was clean, with a shower and a step stool so smaller children could reach the sink. Staff were friendly, and the room was clean and well equipped. It’s close to the train station, beach, and pier. We had a very good stay.
