I’m sad to write this, but I feel cheated. I’d paid in full for a stay at SeaSail Apartments, which was postponed in 2024 after an accident. They asked me to give them at least an APPROXIMATE date so they could process it and send a personal confirmation. I gave August 1-3, 2025, as approximate dates, and was told I could use the stay whenever I wanted, including in winter, when it could be for longer. On August 4, 2025, I asked if I could use the paid booking for August 22-24, 2025. I was told the owner had changed three months earlier and the current owner knew nothing about my reservation. The former owner then said it had been lost because it was set for August 1-3, 2025. Those dates were only APPROXIMATE, so I could make a personal reservation. The former owner claimed the room would be waiting for me, but the current owner said they knew nothing about it, and the apartment wasn’t ready for me on that date. If I’d shown up with a suitcase on August 1, 2025, expecting the room to be ready as the former owner claimed, I’d have been very surprised. I don’t even want to imagine finding out I couldn’t get into the apartment. They said on the phone that I hadn’t been in touch for a year, which is true. Since my booking was for an APPROXIMATE date in August 2025, I didn’t think I needed to call every two months to check that it was still there. It had no expiry date, and if they’d told me I had to use it by a certain time, I certainly would have. The correspondence said, “We’re in no rush to fulfill the reservation.” I was left in a very uncomfortable position, and neither the former nor the current owners tried to resolve it. When a property changes hands, I believe it’s their responsibility to sort out existing bookings, not the client’s. It felt extremely awkward being sent between the person who had made the booking with me and the new owner, who knew nothing about it and referred me back to the former owner. There were plenty of possible solutions, but someone had to be willing to find one. I paid for the stay in full and lost my money. I hope nobody else is treated this way. Agnieszka

The welcome was the warmest we’ve ever had, like visiting family, and Radek and Kamilo were so kind. Sea Sail is fantastic, with spotless rooms and every comfort. The scented candles were there from the moment we walked into reception, and the atmosphere was lovely. It’s right on Monciak Street, just a stone’s throw from the pier and a five-minute walk from the train station. We’ll definitely come back. When we’re in Sopot, it’s Sea Sail Apartments! 🩷
