Breakfast at the Grand Blue Restaurant was a real highlight, with plenty of choice, good quality food and a wide sea view. The pool facing the water and the saunas also make it easy to settle in and relax. Sofitel Grand Sopot sits right on the beach beside the pier, so you can wake to the sound of the sea and spend a while deciding whether to head into town or keep looking at the view. The hotel is more than a place to sleep, it feels like an experience. The staff are polished and discreet, but also warm. They seem to show up just when you need them. The building has more than a century of history, and its restored interiors combine old character with modern comfort. It wears its age well, and there’s a sense that it has stories to tell, along with very good taste in furniture. Luxury here feels calm and easy rather than excessive. Highly recommended. 🌊✨

Lukas, the concierge, took me through some of the grand rooms and less-traveled corridors of Sofitel Grand Hotel during my recent short stay in Sopot. He shared some, but not all, of the hotel’s intriguing secrets, including its rich and sometimes difficult history of construction, destruction and renewal, war and peace, and good and bad statesmen. I also learned how much the hotel has contributed to the local economy. He left me curious enough to want another visit and hear the rest. The concierge team were fantastic, and I’d use them. They gave me the information and transport apps I needed to travel safely and quickly between Sopot and Hel. Everyone I met, from reception, restaurant, wellness and cleaning staff, provided impeccable service.

Lukasz made our stay feel special, including with a birthday cake and a hotel tour full of fascinating hidden details from the past 100 years. The hotel’s history is incredible, and the location and view are amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room had a great vibe.

The whole staff works together and treats guests like royalty. Our concierge, Lukasz, deserves a special mention for the historical hotel tour that gave us an unforgettable memory. The building dates to 1927 and has been kept in the best possible condition. As a Marriott Ambassador and Hyatt Globalist, I’d call this an exceptionally good hotel. A 100% recommendation for anyone visiting Sopot. Thanks to Lukasz and the entire team, we’ll return one day.

There’s so much history here, and I’d absolutely recommend asking for a guided tour of some of the suites. Some have hosted famous politicians and celebrities from history. It was an amazing tour, and I’d love to come back.
