Sopockie Klimaty - Guest Rooms

The three sisters are SOOO NICE!! They speak great English, gave us great recommendations, and were very accommodating. The rooms are so clean, and the décor feels homely but still modern. You feel right at home with the hosts. It's about an 8 minute walk to Sopot beach, right on the main street, with bike rentals available. The patio is great too. All in all, definitely recommend.!

The shared room for eight was surprisingly calm and orderly, with no mess or noise. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. I also really enjoyed the communal breakfasts and their familiar, welcoming atmosphere.

The two sisters who run this hostel are absolutely lovely, welcoming, and considerate. It's clean, nicely decorated, and well placed near the station, city centre, and beach. The dorm bunk beds were very comfortable, and there's a lovely terrace. Breakfast was great, and they even provide a moka coffee maker and ground coffee for guests. Highly recommend. Thank you very much for such a lovely stay!

The breakfast was nice and the location is good, but the way we were treated has left me shocked and offended. I've travelled a lot, and I've never been treated this badly in a hostel. It happened in my own country, where I expected good service. We were literally put out into pouring rain. The hostel looks nice in online photos, but the experience was a complete misunderstanding. I feel I can do little beyond writing this complaint. We left our room on time at 11.00 am, stored our luggage, and went to the beach. When we returned around 4.00 pm, we were told to leave immediately because it "looks bad" and we were creating a crowd. We had a train later that evening and wanted to wait for two hours, until 6pm. We were told we'd have to pay for another 24 hours, even though our beds were already booked. We only used the toilet to pee and change clothes, not to shower, and sat on the covered terrace while it rained heavily. We didn't use the kitchen, internet, or anything else that would have added costs for the hostel. The hostel lady was mean about it in front of other guests. She didn't try to work things out, she just seemed set on getting rid of us. We arrived Friday at 11 pm, well after the 2 pm check-in time, so we hadn't used the facilities during those eight hours. Letting us wait two hours for our train wouldn't have caused extra costs. The owner seems to have a lot to learn about customer service. Right now, they seem blinded by greed, putting money ahead of the customer and common sense. When they're fully booked, you can wait an hour for the toilet and shower in the morning because there are only two bathrooms for so many rooms. The customer service is poor, and they make you wear house slippers indoors, which I personally find unhygienic and disgusting. After what happened, never again. It felt totally unprofessional. We spent 30 minutes in heavy rain looking for shelter, and I hope I don't get sick. Who does that? I wouldn't treat anybody that way. One last thing: it seems to me they buy or solicit positive comments on other websites, for example Facebook reviews. After I posted my comment, there were 20-30 new positive comments. I find that hard to believe because there wasn't enough space for all those people to have stayed there last weekend, and they were all from near Sopot, so I suppose they're "friends".
