Sopot Baltic

The room shouldn’t have been rented out. It was filthy throughout, with a moldy, dirty bathroom, a clogged shower, and a stall that barely stayed in place. The toilet and cleaning room looked completely neglected. After I reported everything and invited the receptionist to see the room, she didn’t even apologize. There was no decision-maker available, and this place needs attention from the sanitary inspectorate or another agency. It’s a shame the owners let people stay in these conditions.

The room was tiny, about the size of a prison cell, and the floor creaked badly. Inside, it smelled like an old library. We couldn’t get hold of the owner when we arrived, and he only called back the next day. If the neighbor hadn’t helped, we wouldn’t have found the right door. The lady was very nice, though, and the location was great. Parking was included, but the lot was very small.

The sea is nearby, and the location is decent. The room was warm and bright, and seemed clean at first, but there were cobwebs and dirty dishes. It’s fine for a night and a shower, though there’s no kitchen, so you can’t really cook anything beyond coffee. The electric kettle does let you make instant drinks. For what’s offered, it doesn’t feel especially budget-friendly.

The outside of the building isn’t very welcoming, and the stairwell has that old tenement-house feel. Inside, though, the corridor, rooms and shared bathrooms are nice. The bathrooms could use more attention when it comes to cleaning :)
