Villa Flaming

The staff at reception, in the restaurant, and housekeeping were kind, helpful, and professional. They spoke good English, and I also heard one staff member speaking German. The hotel was very clean and seemed fairly recently decorated. There isn't a lift, which was awkward with our heavy suitcase, though staff could probably arrange a room on the reception level for someone less able to manage stairs. There's also a small lift outside for wheelchair users. Breakfast was fabulous and seemed to suit different tastes and diets. We had eggs, ham, sausages, and a good choice of salads. A small group of vegetarians nearby seemed happy with their options too. The hotel is on a leafy, quiet street, just a few minutes from the sandy beach, fish restaurants, and bars. The pier and other local attractions in this upmarket resort are about 1 km away. Street parking can be tricky, but there's a reasonably priced lot 100 metres away, at 20 PLN/day. I'll definitely be back to Villa Flaming.

The room itself was clean and fine, but the shower was so cramped that washing my back was difficult. Everything else was awful. Breakfast cost 30zl per person, came packed like takeaway, and looked poor. Nearby cafes offer a really luxurious breakfast for the same price. There was a teapot in the room but no cups, just two plastic glasses. When I asked reception for two proper tea cups, they first promised them, then later said they couldn't provide normal cups because of covid. So I'm paying a mid-range price and expected to drink morning tea from plastic or paper? The final blow was a stick of instant coffee with the takeaway breakfast. We booked three months in advance and got a ground-floor room overlooking the parking area, where anyone could see what I was doing. I could hear every car arriving, and the staff were unfriendly. I can't recommend this place. See Villa Baltica, 10 m away, for the same price and a much better experience, 10/10. I stayed there a year ago, but it was fully booked this time.

A lovely, well-maintained place for a night, with beautiful rooms and all the facilities. The staff were very friendly, and it's very close to the beach and the railway station. A good place to stay if you're planning to visit all 3 cities around.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flaming. The rooms felt new and fresh, and the location is very good. Our toilet was a little small for a double room.
