My family and I spent most summers at the former “Halina” Villa in the 1970s, and I have fond memories of it. Hans Kloss stayed there while at the German Consulate in Istanbul. It’s a classic Sopot villa, but commercialism has taken away its old appearance, character, and atmosphere. Those days won’t return. I recommend reading about old Sopot.

The apartment has lovely views and a parking space, and the location is excellent. It’s large, but feels characterless. The curtains are gray and dirty, the furniture is sparse, there’s not enough proper wardrobe space, and the lighting is dull. The kitchen is dark, with no kitchen lighting and just one weak ceiling bulb. The layout and decor need work, a properly furnished living room would give the place more character, and the kitchen needs a full renovation.

There’s a park and playground just 50 meters away, and the sea is about 200 meters away. The place is clean, tidy, and to a high standard, with a well-equipped kitchen. Parking outside and in the garage, plus internet, are all included in the price. The staff were helpful and easy to deal with. I recommend it. If I’m nearby again and it’s available when I need it, I’ll stay here and recommend it to friends.
