Hotel Europa Business & SPA

The breakfast was nice, but the internet was so slow I couldn't even watch YouTube. There's no Wi-Fi or phone signal in the gym. You have to ask for the room to be cleaned, and the curtains don't cover the window properly, so it's too bright in the morning.

The people working here were great, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Breakfast was fresh with plenty to choose from, and the Pizza Restaurant on the premises was very good too. The building is old, though it's had a lot of cosmetic work to make it look current. Our room was very clean and tidy, as you'd expect, but the AC was loud and smelled bad. Even switched off, air moving through the ducts made so much noise that earplugs were needed for sleep. The mattress was so old it sagged in the middle. The shower temperature kept switching between hot and cold no matter how I adjusted it, and the loose control came right off in my hand. There were four of us in four different rooms, and we had very similar experiences, so it wasn't just bad luck in my room. I was on the first floor, and an event on the ground floor below kept me awake until it ended. There was no soundproofing at all. I hope they address these problems, but I've reported the stay to my company's head office so they can avoid booking this hotel in future.

The rooms were good, and the spa and pools were nice too. Vegetarians will love the pizza. There's a supermarket nearby, and Centrum mall is about a 10-minute drive away.

We seemed to get lucky with a room in the newer section, and it felt really clean and fancy. We think our room was upgraded by mistake: it was a huge apartment, with two bathrooms, one with a bath and a separate walk-in shower. There was also a lounge with a smart TV and Netflix, a kitchenette, and a separate bedroom behind sliding doors. The hotel was lovely. It also has a spa and swimming pool, though we didn't use them, plus a games room with pool tables.
