Skalny Dom

We won't be coming back. The mattresses in every room were uncomfortable, there were no bedside tables, lamps, or wardrobes, and a house for a dozen or so people had no toilet paper or garbage bags. The bathroom upstairs was dim, so you needed a flashlight to see by the mirror. Water leaked from the bathtub through a hole where the drain mechanism should have been. There were two bathrooms, one upstairs with only a bathtub, and another downstairs that could only be reached through a bedroom. The attic insulation was poor, with cold air coming down into the bedroom, and drafts also came through some windows and the leaky entrance door. In sub-zero temperatures and wind, the heating wasn't enough. You couldn't light the fireplace. The kitchen pans belonged in the scrap pile, and the dining table was so caked with glue that a mug handle came off. The walls were waterlogged, wallpaper was torn, and cobwebs that looked months old were everywhere. The whole building was dirty and neglected. A few photos are attached.

The room layout didn't work well for a larger group. The shower bathroom could only be reached through the ground-floor bedrooms, while the other three rooms shared a bathroom with a bathtub. The house was very dirty and needed a major renovation, not just a refresh. Wallpaper was torn and filthy, and cobwebs covered corners, ceilings, and walls. The shower had mold, and broken boards on the terrace left the house unsecured. The smaller rooms were dark, and the bedroom curtain rod was broken by a large window facing the shop's illuminated sign. The view from the master bedroom was the one bright spot, but that first impression didn't last. Almost every appliance and area had something wrong with it.

We had a lovely family getaway in this spacious house in a picturesque part of Stronie Śląskie. The owners were very friendly, and shops, restaurants, and plenty of walking routes are close by. From the terrace, the mountain and center of Stronie views are stunning, and there's a barbecue area too. Inside are four bedrooms, including a children's room with a bunk bed that our little ones found incredibly exciting, plus two bathrooms, a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen. I highly recommend it!

A total disaster!!!! The wallpaper was peeling, cobwebs were everywhere, and the walls were filthy. The floor was so dirty you could practically get stuck to it. Even the furnishings, including the kitchen, and the property fence looked badly battered by the wind.
