Karczma Biesiadna

There are plenty of animals to see, and two very friendly dogs. In my opinion it’s very inexpensive, and a great place to stop if you’re driving through Poland.

We seem to have found this place by pure luck. The front garden has nice shade, and inside there’s a pleasant atmosphere. Prices are reasonable too. It has potential, but I didn’t see any marketing to bring in more visitors. The owners could think about how to promote it.

Inside, it’s a pleasant rustic restaurant, with the decor and furniture matching nicely. The waitress was outgoing and looked after us well. Food was good and relatively cheap. Portions aren’t huge, but soup and a main course will leave you satisfied. We stopped here for a break while driving through Poland. Outside there’s a large parking area, a beautiful wooden building and a nice playground, plus a few goats, chickens and geese for children to see. I’d recommend the place.

The goats, sheep and playground outside kept our tired toddler busy while we waited, and the food didn’t take long. Portions were generous, and the traditional Polish food was tasty. The kids’ corner also gave my wife and me a bit of breathing room to finish eating. It was a welcome dinner stop on a long drive, with a warm, spacious interior.
